Support Us

Drama can be transformative for children and young people.

With your help, we can offer support to the most disadvantaged children and young people in our area, ensuring access to the highest quality performing arts education, and positively impacting their mental health and wellbeing.

Why Support Us?

  • 89% of young people surveyed say that YATI has positively changed their lives

  • YATI offers free transformative drama classes to the most disadvantaged children

  • Nearly 30% of YATI families are in financial hardship

  • Classes build crucial life and employability skills such as communication, self-confidence, team-working and ambition

  • 200 YATI students gain paid employment in the performing arts industry each year.

For every £2000 we raise, 5 young people can attend weekly classes for a year at YATI.

YATI relies on the donations and support of generous individuals, companies, and trusts and foundations to deliver its work here at our home in Barnsbury and across the borough.

We have to raise over £70,000 every year to just to maintain our current offer. But we can do more...

Become a Friend

If you can afford to give just £3 per month, it helps us to support families who genuinely cannot afford to give their children these opportunities.

Become an Angel

Become a YATI Angel with a gift of £500 per annum.

Becoming an Angel is a rewarding way to support the work of Young Actors Theatre Islington. For each £500 donation, a young person can attend a 12-week term of classes for free.

You can become an Angel in your own name, family member, friend or in the name of a charity, foundation or business.
