Young Company
The Young Company is YATI's termly ensemble for young people aged 13–18 (except for our annual panto which is ages 4+). The Young Company meets weekly, working with professional theatre-makers towards public performances of the highest standard.
The aim of the Young Company is to nurture and inspire the next generation of theatre-makers through devising, and performing musical theatre, contemporary and classical texts. We also encourage young people interested in directing, producing, stage management and design to get involved.
The Young Company is formed each term by audition. Performances are generally scheduled for the last week of term or the first week of the holidays depending on the production and venue used.
Rehearsals are every Sunday 10.30am - 1.30pm at YATI.
Our Autumn 2025 production is Beauty and the Beast.
ðŸŽâœ¨ Step into a magical world this December as Young Actors Theatre Islington presents a festive pantomime twist on the beloved tale of Beauty and the Beast! Join Belle on her journey to break the Beast’s mysterious curse, with help from a host of hilarious characters, enchanted objects, and plenty of panto-style surprises. Perfect for families and children of all ages, this joyful show promises festive fun, audience participation, and a message of kindness and courage to warm every heart this holiday season. 🌟

Auditions will be held on: Sunday 7 September 2025, from 10.30 AM onwards

Who can audition?: Anyone aged 4 and over is welcome to audition.
What to prepare:
• A song of your choice (must be age-appropriate) if you want to be considered as a vocal soloist
• A contemporary monologue, no longer than 2 minutes
Commitment:
• Rehearsals: Every Sunday from 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM, including half term
• Production Week: Commencing 9th December 2025 (you must be available everyday)
• Performances: 12th - 14th December 2025
