Young Company
The Young Company is YATI's termly ensemble for young people aged 7–18. The Young Company meets weekly, working with professional theatre-makers towards public performances of the highest standard.
The aim of the Young Company is to nurture and inspire the next generation of theatre-makers through devising, and performing musical theatre, contemporary and classical texts. We also encourage young people interested in directing, producing, stage management and design to get involved.
The Young Company is formed each term by audition. Performances are generally scheduled for the last week of term or the first week of the holidays depending on the production and venue used.
Rehearsals are every Sunday at YATI.
It’s that time again – auditions are open for YATI’s Young Company 2026! After successful productions of The Nutcracker: A Panto Not A Ballet (2024) and Beauty and the Beast (2025), we are excited to begin working on a new pantomime sensation!
The show announcement is still pending... so keep an eye out, but we can already guarantee it will be a flamboyant, fun-filled extravaganza - complete with magical moments, catchy songs and hilarity that will showcase the incredible amount of talent in the YATI community!
No performance experience required, just enthusiasm!

Audition slots are first come first served so get in quick!

For your audition, you must prepare a monologue and an extract from a song. These should be approx. 1 min long each.
​
If you are unsure, get in touch - we can provide a list of suggested monologues, and we’re happy to just hear you sing happy birthday! The auditions are an informal chance for us to get to know you, not a test!
If you aren’t available for the audition date but would like to be considered, please also drop us an email.

Please note that if successful you will be asked to commit to weekly Sunday rehearsals and rehearsals & performances (outside of school hours) Monday 7th – Sunday 13th December. The performances will be Friday 11th – Sunday 13th December.
