Intro to Chekhov with Richard Delaney

Every Friday 5pm - 7pm.

21st July to 18th August.

A five week introductory course. You will encounter work that links the body to the imagination to bring vibrancy and dynamism to your acting choices. Inspired by Michael Chekhov’s technique, these playful and physical sessions will focus on waking up the body as an expressive tool, and play with a number of psychophysical techniques that can be applied to deepen your connection to a role whilst letting pleasure be your guide.

A little More About Richard

Richard is an actor, theatre-maker and acting coach, whose work has taken him throughout the UK, and further afield to Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the States. He holds a masters in Actor Training and Coaching from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and has gone on to work in some of the UK’s leading Drama Schools including Central, LAMDA, ALRA and East 15. Further teaching includes: Fourth Monkey; City Academy; St Mary’s Twickenham; and Brunel University. 

Richard also regularly teaches short courses for professional actors as part of their continued development at the new drama school, Collective Acting Studio. As a coach, Richard helps clients to achieve their goals at every stage of their career. His passion lies in helping performers connect to their impulses and to discover dynamic choices in space, influenced greatly by the Michael Chekhov Technique and The Nine Viewpoints.
