Schools
At YATI, we believe every young person should have access to the transformative power of the arts. Whether you're exploring theatre for the first time, preparing to enter the industry, or seeking to build confidence and creativity, we can help.
Key Stages 1-4
YATI offers FREE drama and theatre workshops to local schools. Every session is designed to let imaginations run wild while fostering important life skills such as public speaking and storytelling. Each workshop can be tailored to the group depending on individual needs or topic. Our goal is to make Islington a happier, more equitable place, supporting young people to unlock their potential through creativity.

We also offer educational assemblies: These are arts-focused assemblies across all Key Stages, where students can learn about the world of performing arts and the exciting careers that come with it as well as learning more about YATI and how we can support your young people in achieving their dreams. It’s a fun and engaging way to bring the arts into the classroom!.
Key Stage 5
For students in KS5, we offer a specialised free taster session of YATI’s Foundation Course curriculum, designed to give a glimpse into top-tier actor training. Foundation Course modules include Musical Theatre, Acting, Video Games & Motion Capture, Stage Combat, and Screen Acting, all designed to develop, strengthen, and reinforce essential professional skills.

This workshop is not only a great way to hone your audition technique, but it can also serve as your entrance audition for our 1-year, part-time Acting & Theatre Arts Foundation Course.
Case Study: Winton Primary
Since Spring Term 2023, YATI has partnered with Winton Primary School to deliver a free, high-quality afterschool drama programme. Designed to be fully accessible, the provision has reached around 50 students over five terms, offering creative sessions that focus on improvisation, devising, and character development. Each term culminates in an informal performance, where students showcase their original work to friends and family, building pride and confidence in their creative achievements.

Throughout the partnership, we’ve seen a consistent increase in students’ communication skills, self-confidence, collaboration, and overall happiness. Many participants who were initially reserved have grown into expressive, engaged performers. By nurturing imagination and encouraging teamwork, the programme has had a lasting positive impact on the young people involved—demonstrating the powerful role drama can play in personal and social development.
